Coal Ash Update

DEQ has developed a long-term monitoring plan to test for potential effects of the Dan River coal ash spill on water, fish and sediment. More information is available on the DEQ website at  http://www.deq.virginia.gov/ConnectWithDEQ/EnvironmentalInformation/DanRiverCoalAshSpill.aspx.  

     Additionally, DEQ has set up a news feed for information regarding the coal ash spill that allows folks to sign up to receive periodic updates on the spill and the status of the Dan River.  To sign up for the news feed visit the DEQ website at  http://www.deq.virginia.gov/ConnectWithDEQ/NewsFeeds.aspx and select "Dan River coal ash spill."
