Kirkpatrick Supports Jobs, Opposes Uranium Mining Near GC

Newly elected First District Congressional Representative Ann Kirkpatrick will be sworn in on January 3rd.

Kirkpatrick acknowledges that the new Congress will have its work cut for them as the country struggles to dig itself out of massive debt and an ongoing recession that began in 2007 while the country was still fighting two major and costly wars.

Kirkpatrick says she plans to stay true to her campaign promise of focusing on job creation in the First District.

Kirkpatrick says she will be communicating with current First District Congressman Paul Gosar to ensure as smooth of a transition as possible.

She adds that while she will work every day to grow the local economy and aid in job creation she remains adamantly opposed to uranium mining near the Grand Canyon.
