As we near the end of Gov. McDonnell's term, mining backers are hoping to persuade the Governor to act against the will of the General Assembly -- pressuring him to draft regulations for a practice that has been banned for 30 years!
This is not the first time that uranium supporters have flooded Richmond with their calls and petition signatures for hasty action.
Which is why it's important to make sure the Governor knows that lifting the ban is not the kind of legacy he should leave behind.
Remind the Go

The ban on uranium mining was kept to protect the health of Virginia's citizens, the environment, and the resources our businesses depend on. Thank the Governor for listening to the will of the people and the General Assembly and urge him to continue resisting pressure from uranium mining proponents to do otherwise.
