In an attempt to gain local and international backing for their
projects, and to appease investors, mining companies
claim that no local people are adversely affected
by the industry’s insatiable hunger for metal.
In order to bust the myth of invisible and insignificant local people,
and to showcase the broad opposition to the mining industry’s path
of environmental and cultural destruction, we are launching this website.
