Please join us for a talk on Keeping the Ban on Uranium Mining
in Virginia by Attorney Cale Jaffe. Uranium mining has been banned in
Virginia for 30 years and there are many health and environmental risks if
the Ban is lifted. Some companies have interests in mining uranium in
Virginia and hope to lift the Ban. Cale Jaffe will better inform us on this
issue.
Cale Jaffe is a senior attorney with the Southern Environmental
Law Center, focusing on clean air, energy and climate change advocacy. He
is also on the Board of Directors of Appalachian Voices and the Virginia
Conservation Network.
