VIRGINIA PRESERVATION OFFICIAL TO SPEAK: URANIUM MINING IMPACTS ON HISTORIC PROPERTIES
Sonja Ingram, Field Representative for Preservation Virginia, will be discussing the impacts uranium mining will have to the historic resources in the area, and the broader negative implications uranium mining may have on heritage tourism efforts in the region.
The presentation will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 7 PM , 767 Main St., Danville, VA (The Old Methodist Church). The public is invited to attend. The event is sponsored by Piedmont Residents In Defense of the Environment (PRIDE), a Chapter of the Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League (BREDL).
