In my opinion, we have only one supervisor in Pittsylvania County: that is Marshall Ecker.
He is the only one who cares about the health and well being of the people of this county.
That was proven Tuesday night, June 21 at the Board of Supervisors meeting when Mr. Ecker introduced a resolution asking the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and the Virginia Department of Mining, Minerals, and Energy to require Virginia Uranium Inc. to test residential well water near Coles Hill before further drilling or mining takes place.
The board would not even have a discussion on it. It seems as they don't care about the people, just big businesses.
They are spending millions of taxpayers' dollars trying to get the Mega Park, and the Gretna and Ringgold Industrial Parks ready for big businesses.
What they are not thinking about is if the water is contaminated the business will not come.
Mr. Ecker must be the only person on the board that read what happened last time Virginia Uranium Inc. did test drilling.
People, this November you can let these six other supervisors that don't care about you and your families know how you feel by voting them out.
