Uranium Mining - A toxic radioactive dump up river from 1 million+ people

The scientists and the people have spoken--Uranium mining is a really bad idea in Virginia.  Unfortunately, Governor McDonnell does not get it. Must be the billions in uranium that have blinded him to the truth.

But the people living in Southside and the folks downstream in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Norfolk understand the risks.  We are still educating on the General Assembly on the risks of uranium mining and you can help by clicking here.

You can also plan on attending one of the meetings across the state on uranium mining.  Here is a current calendar:

Mon, July 9 at 7 PM - Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors, General District Court, 11 Bank Street in Chatham

Fri., July 27 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Public Forum in Roanoke on Uranium mining. Please visit the website: www.cabellbrandcenter.org for details

Thurs, Aug 2  McDonnells' Uranium Work Group meeting in Danville - location TBD
Tues, Aug 28  McDonnells' Uranium Work Group meeting in Virginia Beach - location TBD
