Pittsylvania County hopefuls air views at forum

Four supervisors face challenges for their seats, including Westover Supervisor Coy Harville, who is vying to protect his post from James DeHart.

Jerry Hagerman is attempting to unseat Ingram from his Callands-Gretna position

While Marshall Ecker is running against Dean Jennings to keep his slot as Staunton River supervisor.

In the Tunstall magisterial district, Nancy Barbour Smith is once again challenging Tim Barber for his seat.

Dan River Supervisor James Snead and Banister magisterial district candidate Jessie Barksdale are running unopposed,

While Chatham-Blairs Supervisor Hank Davis and Banister Supervisor William Pritchett will retire at the end of the year.

Brenda Bowman and Frank Fox are battling it out for the Chatham-Blairs seat vacated by Davis.

During the forum, candidates gave opening and closing statements, while those facing challengers were given 90 seconds to answer each question formulated by members of the chamber’s legislative committee. Those unopposed did not have to address questions.
