On December 13, 2010, the National Academy of Sciences committee that is currently conducting the study of uranium mining in Virginia will hold its meeting in Danville.
The meeting will consist of the open session starting at 8:30 am and a townhall meeting from 6 pm to 9:00 pm. The meetings will be held at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, 150 Slayton Ave., Danville, VA 24540.
The Roanoke River Basin Association has been invited by the National Academy of Sciences to speak at the uranium mining study committee's open session meeting.
I hope you can attend the December 13th meeting to hear first-hand the stakeholders' presentations and comments by concerned citizens.
