Virginia Uranium won't accept the truth (flooding and uranium mining)

Comment:  The nukes and uranium companies are a bunch of thugs using lies to further their own personal agenda, making profit by buying VA so call "part time leaders"!  No to uranium mining and milling!

In response to Patrick Wales' statement that it is highly unlikely a catastrophic event could occur, did God retire and leave Virginia Uranium Inc. in charge?

Mr. Wales needs to talk to those who lost relatives during Hurricane Camille, when homes were swept away during the night and loved ones were lost, and bodies never recovered. They never thought anything like that would happen either.

We were told by Henry Hurt in a recent newspaper article that we still talk the some old stuff. I can't tell you how many times I hear them say the same old stuff.

It's funny how sometimes when certain people put on a three-piece suit with degrees and think that they know what's better for other people when they have nothing to lose themselves.

I had the privilege of going to the National Academy of Sciences meeting in Richmond.

Someone said we could not survive without electricity. Think about this: If you are locked in a room for three days and get out, are you going to grab a light bulb or a glass of water?

At the meeting, it was also mentioned that we were paranoid and didn't understand the aspects of it all. And yes he wore a three-piece suit.

We also let the National Academy of Sciences know that we had people from six different counties in southern Virginia that were there on this issue from Roanoke to Halifax. It was good to see others taking a stand to keep the ban from all over the state.

As expected, V.U.I did not agree with the Virginia Beach study, stating that it was an expensive fantasy.

I thought all this time they were waiting for a scientific study, but when one comes along and V.U.I. doesn't like the results it becomes a fantasy.

There's something about the truth some people have a hard time with.

For those of you out there who might think we're paranoid, do your homework yourself, find one mine that has not had an issue with water, dam failures, or pollution.

If V.U.I. has its way and the mine here goes through, that will only be the half of it. Mother Nature will take care of the other half.
