Leichhardt River Flooding

Xstrata says the health and safety of workers and the community in Mount Isa is its highest priority.
Mining giant Xstrata says it has completed stage three of the Leichhardt River Remediation Project at Mount Isa in Queensland's north-west.
During the three weeks of works, the mining company removed 40,000 tonnes of material containing old mine sediment from the riverbed and disposed it at the Mount Isa Mines site.
Xstrata says nearly $3 million was spent as part of the work.
The company is currently involved in legal action regarding lead contamination in children in the city.
