Attend VCN's Legislative Workshop

Virginia Conservation Network invites you to attend our annual Legislative Workshop on December 5, 2009 in Richmond.
The workshop will provide detailed information on the conservation community's 2010 legislative priorities.

The training will prepare you to speak knowledgeably on vital environmental issues and is the perfect preparation for the Conservation Lobby Day in January.
The Legislative Workshop is open to anyone interested in learning how to impact environmental policy at the state level, so feel free to invite your friends.

What You Can Expect

The day begins with an overview of VCN's 2010 Conservation Briefing Book - your go-to guide for conservation at the state capitol. The day concludes with an opportunity to learn about three important conservation issues.

Keynote Speaker: Senator Donald McEachin.

Join staff of environmental organizations, concerned citizens, and experts to learn about the conservation community’s shared legislative agenda. The workshop features training on environmentally relevant legislation in preparation for the 2010 General Assembly session. Each participant will also receive the Conservation Briefing book - a compendium of documents detailing policies that will move Virginia toward a more sustainable future.
