Danny Marshall, incumbent, (R) 14th District Delegate Candidate:
"Safety of our citizens is the most important issue. Citizens who live near and down stream, the farmers, Chatham Hall, Hargrave, the companies we are trying to locate here. As to mining uranium, is it in their best interest? Safety is the number one issue."
Seward Anderson (D) 14th District Delegate Candidate:
"If there is any possibility that the mining and milling of uranium is going to harm the health, property, or proserity of southern Virginia, we are going to have to recognize that and keep the moritorium in place. I believe it's going to be hard to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt, that this is safe."
